"Oh, <name>, thank goodness you're here! Ever since that Stone Giant came through here, everything has been really, really, ridiculously dangerous! You see, when the giant knocked into my Center For Students Who Can't Kill Good, he inadvertently toppled over all my bookshelves!
"If they were any ordinary books it wouldn't be a problem, but all these shelves house monsters of unimaginable horror! They've taken over the whole center, and I need your help to take it back! Hurry, I think they're over there, to the left. I... I can't go over there."

Important Note -- Quest Conflict[]
This daily cannot be turned in to Dewey for completion if one or both of these quests are simultaneously active in your quest list: Welcome to the Warp Zone part 6 (A Chink in the Past), Cross-Country Platform. These two quests involve searching for items in the bookshelves and must be completed (if activated) before you receive the dialogue from Dewey to turn in his daily quest. Any enemies you defeat in the bookshelves for the other two quests will still count towards the daily quest and will be checked off in the quest list, however. A bug has been filed with Simutronics noting the conflict.

The emotional librarian gazes at you intently as he sips his brightly glowing beverage. "Moisture is the essence of wetness. And wetness is the essence... of soggy books." Bluesteel turns away with a single tear in his eye, seemingly scorned.
Quest Completion[]
"You've managed to hold them off for now, <name>, but it seems these monsters will continue pouring into the center until it overflows! How can we expect students to learn how to kill good when they can't even fit into the building?!
Come back tomorrow, I'm sure there will be more really, really, ridiculously evil monsters for you to kill."

Enemies[]
Level 13 letter enemies (C-Serpent, Dire-e, L-ph, O-grrr, etc.) attack with calligraphy damage and are capable of hitting for more than 250 damage!
